The Lick

I just saw the fan page on facebook and it made me laugh.  I had originally thought "the lick" was a William Paterson thing, but apparently it is bigger than that.  Much bigger.  My personal favorite, where I originally learned the lick, is Herbie Hancock's "Watermelon Man."  If you don't know it, check it out!  In the version from the Headhunters, it occurs around 2:20, and in the video below, it occurs around 1:25.
